Rain-washed pavement, rapidly
Shedding its chalky dust, turns water-darkened,
Street-edges soon flowing;
Puddles soften raindrops' fall,
Creating hosts of tiny bubbles,
Disintegrating with expansion.
Rain, birthing whole new worlds,
Worlds heavy and humid,
Conjures scenes of torrents cascading over
Craggy mountain precipice.
Musk fills nostrils, refreshing senses;
Dreary rain exerts melancholy
Appeal, pleasant to indulge.
